Twenty children left Unicorn in the summer of 2026. Together, they received 66 offers from senior schools, alongside 6 scholarships and awards for academic achievement, music and drama.
They went on to 13 schools, including St Paul’s Boys, King’s College Wimbledon, Latymer Upper, Kingston Grammar, Ibstock Place, Thomas’s and Orleans Park.
We start with the child, not the exam
There is no single right senior school for a Unicorn child.
We want every child to leave us ready for a school in which they will thrive — not simply the school that is hardest to get into. So we do not coach a whole year group towards the same handful of exams.
We know our children well. We sit down with every family to understand what they are looking for and which schools will suit their child academically, socially and personally. We then prepare each child thoroughly for the schools they are applying to.
Our 11+ programme is rigorous, but it is also personal. Key subjects are often taught in half classes, giving teachers more time with each child and allowing them to challenge, support and prepare children according to their individual strengths and areas for development.
As the 11+ approaches, preparation becomes more focused. Children develop the knowledge, reasoning, exam technique and confidence they need, with preparation reflecting the different demands of the schools they are applying to.
But the 11+ does not take over the school day.
Music, drama, sport and art do not disappear when 11+ preparation begins. They continue at full throttle through Year 6. Children are prepared for their exams, but their final year at primary school is still a year of childhood.

“Nothing is sacrificed on altar of 11+. Music, drama, sport, art all continue at full throttle. School openly shields children from exam stress and strongly discourages parents from even talking about 11+ until year 5.”
— The Good Schools Guide
The results are ambitious. The route to them is deliberately different.
And because our children are different, their destinations are different too. The list of schools above is not a ranking or a shortlist of schools we steer children towards. It reflects individual children and families choosing the school that is right for them.
Strong results, year after year
This is not a one-off.
Across the last five years, 96 Unicorn children have received 317 senior-school offers and 38 scholarships and awards.
Unicorn children consistently receive offers from leading London senior schools, including Hampton, Kingston Grammar, Lady Eleanor Holles, Latymer Upper, Godolphin & Latymer and Francis Holland, alongside a broad range of other independent and state schools.
The destinations change from year to year — as they should. Our aim is not to produce the same outcome for every child. It is to make sure each child is well prepared and has the opportunity to move on to the school that is right for them.
Strong 11+ results matter. So does everything that happens before them. At Unicorn, children do not have to choose between the two.
